Name: Lili Zwingli [Liechtenstein]
Age: 15
Occupation: … extremely young prostitute?
Background: Living where she did, it was no hard to be absorbed into the darkness of the district and eventually became one of the equally dark citizens within. True, she knew nothing of Vash’s exploits in the world of drugs, but likewise he knew nothing of her secret life, being part of the underground network of whores.
Coming from a life molded mostly from being sheltered, she has not adjusted well. She hides in the back, covering herself to the point no one ever sees her. This rarely works, but she tries. Lili is still heavily uncertain about herself, knowing full well that Vash would never approve, and frankly, she doesn’t either. It just happened.
All she can do now is hope and wait for someone to save her before there is no turning back. Running is not an option, should she want to keep living.
Personality: Coming from a sheltered upbringing, there is much about the world that Lili is ignorant of. This is no less truer for the world of this rp, where naïve, trusting Lili finds herself believing the words of many people that offer shelter in the wake of the storm. She is quite nervous around most men, given her occupation and constantly threatened mental state, and very shy and self-conscious. Despite this, when comfortable around the people she is with, she can be a bright ball of smiling sunshine always looking on the bright side of things. Her mood falls easily, however.
RP sample:
“Dear, you need to hide!” whispered the older woman, whom Lili always trusted to take care of the young girl. So far, her trust was well rewarded, earning her the best hiding places while the most experienced ladies drew their clients away. The older woman’s name was Marta. She’d been in the business for years, even before the collapse around them that forced the city into a moral regression. As she spoke these words, she pushed Lili along, eventually into a series of cabinets on the back wall. Lili ducked inside of one immediately.
Though middle aged and creased from stress and life, Marta was still a beauty among the girls that made themselves known over the shy blonde teen that hid away in the back. She always wanted to make sure the new girl was given people that wouldn't completely scar her. She was… maternal like that, if one could call this kind of concern ‘maternal’. “This one’s drunk. Don’t worry about a thing.”
“O…okay…” Lili breathed nervously. Her older friend gave her a comforting, assuring smile before shutting the cabinet door, cloaking Lili in darkness. The girl shook nervously, her breathing shallow as if afraid the walls would crash down around her, leaving her exposed for all to see. This was stupid, her fear. The way she was brought into it was also stupid. If she knew of her brother’s heavily secret occupation she could surely use his position to drive the bad men away. But… she didn’t. He was still an angel to her.
An angel she did not deserve to have.
Lili clutched her arms to her chest, whimpering as if in pain. Her chest was hurting, but not from any wound. It was guilt. It was disappointment. It was hatred for herself and the terrible people that forced girls to do this kind of work. So far, she had been lucky. Ridiculously lucky. She’d been thrown among friends that cared for each other, rather than catering to the image of greedy women that cared only for money. These women had no family except themselves, so perhaps that was why everything was so tight-knit.
Her chest still burning, Lili could hear the boisterous laughter of the drunken fool that had stepped into the building. He had a friend, though. She could tell by the second voice. Though slightly more sober, he was taken up easily by an older female, and the laughter and voices died down into nothing as they retreated into one of the adjacent rooms. Lili breathed a sigh of relief.
This was not her night, and for this she was thankful.
